Vasomotor Symptoms and Hot Flashes: Navigating the Journey

Vasomotor symptoms, more commonly recognized as hot flashes, hot flushes, and night sweats, rank as the second most prevalent symptom of perimenopause, second only to irregular menstruation.

Each individual's experience with hot flashes is unique. While many people experiencing menopause or perimenoapsue endure these symptoms for 6 months to 2 years, some may face them for longer periods. In terms of frequency, the intervals between episodes can range from days to hours.

It's crucial to note that menopause isn't the exclusive reason behind hot flashes. For a comprehensive understanding of potential triggers, check out our article here.

Decoding the Hot Flash Experience

A hot flash can best be described as an abrupt, intense surge of heat that sweeps across your body, often accompanied by sweating and discomfort. This overwhelming sensation can make it challenging to focus on daily tasks. And after the heat subsides, it may take your body about 30 minutes to regain its equilibrium.
