Shipping Update: Potential Canada Post Disruption
Share
Last Updated: December 20 2024
The Canada Post strike has officially ended; however, this was not the result of a mutually agreed resolution. Workers have been mandated to return to their duties. While operations have resumed, the circumstances surrounding this outcome highlight ongoing challenges within the postal system.
As a result, Menopod has decided to continue utilizing Purolator and UPS as our primary shipping carriers for the remainder of 2024. This decision is driven by our commitment to ensuring reliable and timely deliveries, especially as we enter the busy holiday season.
Here’s what this means for you:
- Canadian Orders: Your orders will continue to ship via Purolator or UPS to ensure consistent and efficient service.
- International Orders: We’ll maintain partnerships with Stallion Express and their trusted courier network for smooth and timely global deliveries.
- P.O. Box Addresses: While Canada Post services have resumed, we encourage customers to use civic addresses whenever possible for faster service.
We want to thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this challenging period. If you have any questions or concerns about your order, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Menopod remains dedicated to keeping your orders on track and delivering the quality service you deserve.

At Menopod, we’re committed to ensuring that your order reaches you as smoothly as possible, and we’ve taken proactive steps to minimize any disruptions.
What You Need to Know
-
Most orders will be unaffected.
Menopod has partnered with a variety of reliable carriers, including UPS, Purolator, and Amazon MFC, as well as Stallion Express for international shipments. These partnerships allow us to provide uninterrupted service for the majority of orders. -
Orders shipped to P.O. boxes or remote locations may face challenges.
During the strike, deliveries to P.O. boxes or certain remote areas may be delayed or canceled.
To avoid disruptions, we recommend using a civic address at checkout instead of a P.O. box. -
Some orders already processed with Canada Post may experience delays.
We are actively monitoring these shipments. If your order is impacted, we will reach out to you directly with updates and alternative solutions.
Our Commitment to You
We understand how important timely delivery is, especially during this time of year. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to minimize the impact of the strike. If your order is affected, we’ll contact you directly with the latest information and next steps.

We’re reaching out with an important update regarding the ongoing Canada Post negotiations. Recently, Canada Post received official strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).
According to these notices, unless a resolution is reached, strike activity could begin as early as Friday, November 15, following the mandatory 72-hour notice period.
What This Means for Your Orders
To ensure reliable delivery, Menopod is prepared to use alternative carriers should a disruption occur, both nationally and internationally. We’re coordinating with trusted providers to minimize any potential impact on your order.
Alternative Carriers for Reliable Delivery
We’ve selected a range of alternative shipping options to keep your orders on track, even if Canada Post services are interrupted:
UPS & Purolator: These will be our primary carriers for Canadian orders. Chosen for their reliability and extensive national network, UPS and Purolator allow us to maintain high delivery standards while keeping courier costs to a minimum.
Amazon: To handle orders swiftly, especially during peak season, we’ll leverage Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MFC) for some orders in Canada and the United States. This option uses our inventory already stored at Amazon warehouses, ensuring quick, efficient delivery that bypasses Canada Post entirely.
Stallion Express Network: For international orders, we’re utilizing Stallion Express’s extensive network of couriers worldwide to provide uninterrupted service. Stallion is known for great customer service and competitive pricing, helping us keep international shipping costs as low as possible.

We’re closely monitoring the ongoing discussions between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) to keep you informed about any potential changes that might impact Menopod shipments.
Current Status
At present, our business and Canada Post services are operating as usual. However, there is a possibility of a labour disruption in the coming weeks if an agreement isn’t reached. Canada Post has assured that a minimum 72-hour notice will be provided before any potential service interruption.
What This Means for Your Order
For now, you can expect your Menopod orders to be processed and shipped as normal. Should a disruption occur, please know that we’re actively exploring alternative shipping options to minimize any delays and ensure your order reaches you as smoothly as possible.
For our international customers, please note that Canada Post typically hands off packages to your local postal courier. If disruptions occur, we’ll work to coordinate alternative shipping solutions to maintain reliable delivery.
